Collage is like a magical mix-and-match game! You take different things—like paper, pictures, fabric, and even tiny treasures you find—and put them together to create something brand new. It’s a fun and playful way to make art, and you can tell any story you want with the materials you choose.

In this class, we’ll learn about tools and materials that help us make collages and assemblages (that’s a fancy word for 3D collages). You’ll also get to see how famous artists like Joseph Cornell, Romare Bearden, and Gertrude Greene made their own amazing collage art.

Then it’s your turn! You can create your own artwork—maybe a colorful mix of shapes and textures or a piece that tells a story about you. You’ll experiment with things like color, patterns, and fun objects you bring in or find. Whether you’ve made art before or this is your first time, this class is all about trying new things and making something unique. Let’s get creative!
